After many weeks of trying to decide a theme for this project,
from the human body to fairytales, I have decided to research into
the 1950's! (where in my opinion, had the ultimate LBD's).
Having flicked through piles and piles of my Vogue and Elle
magazine collections for inspiration, I have managed to create a sketchbook!

During the first few days back at college, we were given
the module guide for this project, now knowing how much work is expected
from us; haute couture boards, pret-a-porter boards, pionner of the LBD boards,
key trends boards, top 10 black dresses on the high street boards,
theme boards, flat boards, sample boards, 4/5 pages of line-ups, a sketchbook and an evaluation.
On the Monday we quickly flicked through eachothers sketchbooks, having a
look at what everyone had produced over the summer for the project
with alot of work having been done already.
On the Tuesday, we had a discussion on some vintage black dresses dating
from 1890 - 1980, which was very inspiring, especially the 50's dress! We also had a
presentation about black dresses, seeing imagery from a wide time scale.
