Jil Sander A/W 2012

The day has come when Raf Simons was applauded as he showed off
his last collection for Jil Sander before becoming head designer at Dior.
For his last collection for Sander, Raf created a stunningly beautiful
aray of full bodied shift coats and dresses that was inspired by a day in life of a relationship.
With some coats being clinched to the body by the model, some let a
sense of the slipdresses appear creating a very sensual side.
Aysmmetric skirts and structured bra tops were a common appearance in
the collection along with high waisted pants and a modern feel to the jumpsuit.
The strapless gowns gave off a real feel of the 1950's Dior dresses
which he will very soon be creating for!
The palette featured very pastel colours, connoting the sense of pureness
from the pale pinks, creams, greys, reds and blacks.
He in no doubt created very minimal and simple garments with no embellishment to be
seen anywhere but regardless, are simply elegant and effortless.
Dior will be lucky to have him.
